Frequently Asked Questions
What is an event?
Every call to the Known Agents API counts toward your event usage. This includes sending visit events, making Agent Identification API requests, and making other API requests. If a call contains a batch, each individual item in that batch counts as one event. You can view your event usage in your project settings or account page.
How many events do I need?
Agents account for about half of all website traffic. Start with roughly twice your monthly human visit count, then add any other API requests you expect to make. For example, if Google Analytics reports 200,000 monthly visits, estimate at least 400,000 Known Agents events, plus Agent Identification and other API requests.
What happens if I exceed my monthly event limit?
The Free plan has a hard monthly limit. On paid plans, we will email you if you are quickly approaching or consistently exceeding your plan's limit and recommend the appropriate upgrade.
Why is my current plan not listed?
Pricing changes over time, so you may be on a legacy plan.
